Let’s say that you are running a store. Color coded containers can be used to help you keep your merchandise straight. Perhaps you sell a lot of small trinkets at a souvenir shop. Color-coding your containers would let you see at a glance where different types of objects are. You might for example choose blue containers for key chains, red containers for magnets, and orange containers for cell phone charms. Instead of having to search through your containers to find which ones contain which merchandise, when it comes time to re-stock, you can go straight to the color coded plastic container you need.
