Getting ready to go on a trip? If so, you may be looking for the best ways to organize makeup for travel, along with jewelry and other accessories. No wardrobe is complete without them! But to travel with a makeup kit along with your jewelry, hair clips, and other small odds and ends, you need a system that will keep everything organized—and prevent anything from getting lost! That is where plastic bins come in handy!
You may think you need some kind of specialized plastic bins for makeup, jewelry, and accessories, but you do not need anything all that particular. Your makeup traveling case can be something as simple as a clear compartment storage box for crafts. The same box can hold all your other accessories as well.
These compartment cases contain dividers so that you have lots of little compartments in which to store different types of makeup and accessories. This can help you keep your supplies sorted so you can find what you need quickly when getting ready in the morning or freshening up on your trip.
Another nice feature of these craft compartment boxes is that they often have a carrying handle. This can be very helpful when you are staying in a hotel or a friend’s house and need to move your makeup from one room to another while getting ready. You can also use it to carry your makeup and accessories to the bathroom on a plane or a train to freshen up. A case like this can also be easy to deal with when you are going through the metal detector at the airport.
The little compartments don’t just keep your accessories and makeup boxes organized—they also keep them relatively safe. Because the compartments are small, nothing inside will get all that jostled when you are carting your luggage around or your plane encounters turbulence.
One caution on that note however involves certain types of jewelry. Obviously a lot of jewelry items are relatively safe contained in plastic—like those made out of plastic beads for example, or very hard materials. But some jewelry items contain soft metals (like gold) or other soft materials (like pearls). Or they may simply be expensive, and you do not want to risk them getting scratched or chipped.
In those cases, you should line those specific compartments with something soft for shock absorption. This will protect your fine jewelry while you are on your trip and moving your makeup and accessories kit from one location to the next. Also make sure that you do not store two jewelry items together which might scratch each other in the same compartment. Put each in a separate compartment.
Many travelers are not adequately prepared for their trips with everything they need to protect their items while they are on the road or in the air. But you do not have to spend a lot of money an expensive travel cases for your makeup, jewelry, and accessories. All you really need is a small plastic bins!
